Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effect of leachate recirculation on MSW degradation.
  • To assess the impact on waste stabilization and biogas generation.
  • To analyze pollution parameters during the process.

Main Methods:

  • Laboratory-scale columns (50 kg) simulating bioreactor conditions.
  • Testing three waste types: standard fresh, fermentable fresh, and aged waste.
  • Monitoring key parameters: Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), volatile acidity, alkalinity, conductivity, methane potential, and biogas (CO2, CH4) production.
