The measles virus nucleocapsid (MVNP) gene targeted to osteoclasts (OCLs) in mice caused abnormal OCLs and bone lesions resembling Paget's disease. This study demonstrates MVNP expression in OCLs can induce pagetic-like bone disease in vivo.
