  • Nine diterpenoids were isolated and identified: acetyldictyolal (1), epoxyoxodolabelladiene (2), dictyotalide B (3), neodictyolactono (4), pachylactone (5), acetals 6A and 6B, isoacetoxycrenulatin (7), and dictyolactone (8).
  • Compounds 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8 demonstrated antifungal activity.
  • Eight diterpenoids were tested for cytotoxic activity against mammalian cell lines (KB, P-388, P-388/DOX, NSCLCN6-L16), with some exhibiting greater potency than the positive control, mercaptopurine.
  • Conclusions:

    • Dilophus ligulatus yields bioactive diterpenoids with potential pharmaceutical applications.
    • The isolated compounds possess promising antifungal and cytotoxic properties.
    • Further investigation into these diterpenoids could lead to the development of new therapeutic agents.
