Abstract:
Due to the demographic evolution in our country, the management of old patients with coronary disease is of increasing concern in practice. Few studies specifically related in this age group are however available and data issued from subgroup analyses are subject to possible selection bias. The older subject candidate for myocardial revascularization is potentially at higher risk than the younger one. This higher risk should however not overshadow the benefit, which is often also more important.
