Abstract:
Biomedical information sharing is increasingly necessary but it demands many requirements such as security, logging, confidentiality and non-repudiation. We developed GALCO, a Web-based system to share biomedical information across the world that meets the cited requirement. Using our system, collaborating individuals can efficiently manage document access and share biomedical information. For easier information retrieval, GALCO implements an autonomous search engine using a flexible role-based privilege scheme.
