Implementation of virtual medical record object model for a standards-based clinical decision support rule engine

We developed a Virtual Medical Record (vMR) using HL7 RIM standards for clinical decision support (CDS) rule engines. Mapping local patient data to vMR and creating an adaptor layer proved this approach is feasible and advantageous for portable CDS solutions.
