Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the occurrence and characteristics of nail abnormalities in children undergoing chemotherapy.
  • To identify patterns and onset of nail changes in relation to cancer type and treatment.

Main Methods:

  • A cross-sectional study involving 30 pediatric patients (ages 1-17) with various cancers.
  • Patients received diverse chemotherapy regimens, and nail changes were systematically observed.

  • Nail changes were observed in 10 children (33.3%) during chemotherapy.
