Abstract:
Capsular (CPS) and phenol water (PW) extracts were prepared from 11 serogroup specific strains of B. vulgatus isolated from normal gut flora. The extracts were active in immunodiffusion (ID) and passive hemagglutination (HA) tests. There was no correlation between sugar and protein contents and serological activity of these extracts.
