Background:

Thalictrum przewalskii Maxim. is a plant species known for its rich alkaloid content.
Previous research has identified various alkaloids from Thalictrum species, highlighting their potential pharmacological significance.

Purpose of the Study:

To isolate and characterize novel alkaloids from Thalictrum przewalskii Maxim.
To contribute to the understanding of the chemical constituents of Thalictrum przewalskii Maxim.

Main Methods:

Isolation of alkaloids using chromatographic techniques.
Structure elucidation employing a suite of spectroscopic methods, including Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, C,H-COSY, C,H-COLOC, HMQC, HMBC).

Main Results:

Nine new alkaloids: przewaline, przewalskine, przewalskinine, przewalstine, przewalstinine, przewalstidine, przewalstidinine, przewalidine chloride, and 8-hydroxypseudocoptisine chloride were identified.
Six known alkaloids, including berberinium chloride and magnoflorine chloride, were also isolated and identified.
Comprehensive spectroscopic data confirmed the structures of all isolated compounds.

Conclusions:

The study successfully identified a significant number of new alkaloids from Thalictrum przewalskii Maxim.
The findings expand the known alkaloid profile of this plant and contribute to the field of natural product chemistry.
The detailed structural information provides a basis for further pharmacological investigations.
