Background:

  • Conduction blocks (CB) proximal to Erb's point are often missed in standard nerve conduction studies (NCS) for multifocal neuropathies.
  • Accurate localization of CB is crucial for diagnosing and managing these conditions.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the utility of the triple-stimulation technique (TST) for detecting conduction blocks (CB) proximal to Erb's point.
  • To assess the impact of TST on the diagnostic sensitivity of criteria for multifocal motor neuropathy with conduction block (MMNCB).

Main Methods:

  • Conducted clinical assessments, NCS, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and TST on patients with multifocal motor neuropathy with CB (MMNCB) and Lewis-Sumner syndrome.
