Background:

  • Eccrine spiradenoma is a rare benign sweat gland tumor.
  • Multiple eccrine spiradenoma is exceptionally rare, presenting a diagnostic challenge.

Observation:

  • A case of multiple eccrine spiradenoma affecting various body parts is presented.
  • Lesions appeared as multiple, well-defined foci in the cutis and subcutaneous tissue on MRI.
  • MRI demonstrated low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on STIR images.

Findings:

  • The MRI signal intensities were not pathognomonic for eccrine spiradenoma in this case.
  • Despite non-specific imaging findings, the diagnosis of multiple eccrine spiradenoma was confirmed.

Implications:

  • Multiple eccrine spiradenoma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of subcutaneous and cutaneous lesions.
  • This case highlights the importance of considering rare tumors in the differential diagnosis of skin lesions.
  • Further research may elucidate characteristic MRI features of multiple eccrine spiradenoma.
