Abstract:

2-Amino-5-( N-ethylcarboxamido)-pentanoic acid has been isolated from green tea leaves ( THEA SINESIS). It has been identified from its extensive spectroscopic data. Acid hydrolysis of the compound gave ethylamine and 2-aminoadipic acid.
