Endothelial cell apoptosis in obstructive sleep apnea: a link to endothelial dysfunction

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients show increased apoptotic endothelial cells linked to vascular dysfunction. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy reduced these cells, suggesting a mechanism for OSA-related vascular disease.
