Abstract
Objective:
To qualify the mechanical properties of the iris during its passive deformation under the condition of glaucoma.
Material And Methods:
Experiments simulating the total pupillary block was performed on isolated rabbit irises to determine the passive mechanical behavior of the intact iris.
Results:
The relationship between the area strain(delta) and the pressure of posterior chamber relative to the anterior chamber(P') was obtained: (P1) was obtained P'+b eb1 delta.
