Objective:
To overcome inflexible disadvantage in reduction mammaplasty design.
Methods:
Preoperation, locating approximately new nipple position and redundant breast skin range. In operation, reshaping unfinished breast shape and locating new nipple-areola position finally in near elective position, breast is reduced using inferior pedicle technique.
Results:
From August, 1995, 34 cases were performed using this method. After 3 - 18 months' follow-up, the result show that there isn't obvious complication, new breast shape is natural, nipple--areola sense exist.
Conclusions:
This design method is simple, flexible, operation is safe, effect is reliable.
