Abstract:
This article appraises contemporary approaches to European student exchange programmes. It explores the impact of exchange programmes on the learning experience of nursing students, with discussion of the findings. Practical suggestions are made to prepare students who are considering this challenging opportunity. Recommendations to optimise the potential for professional, cultural and personal development are also highlighted.
