Changes in B-type natriuretic peptides after surgical ventricular restoration

Surgical ventricular restoration (SVR) significantly improves heart function and reduces natriuretic peptide levels in patients with post-infarction left ventricular remodeling. Clinical improvement and reduced peptide levels were sustained long-term.

- Reduced B-type natriuretic peptide levels at 6 months post-surgery are associated with clinical improvement.
- SVR leads to sustained clinical benefit and further peptide level reduction at late follow-up.
