Background:

- Physical examination revealed mild hepatomegaly (enlarged liver) and significantly elevated random blood sugar levels (30.2 mmol/l).

- This case represents the first reported instance of overt diabetes mellitus directly caused by supraphysiological recreational use of human growth hormone.
