Application of sunbeds for cosmetic purposes in Iran

Abstract:
This note discusses the justification for using sunbeds for cosmetic purposes in Iran. The geographical location and ecology of the country, public knowledge about ultraviolet radiation and ultraviolet radiation protection and the Radiation Protection Act of Iran are considered during the discussion. It is concluded that the use of ultraviolet tanning appliances for cosmetic purposes in Iran cannot be justified.
