Area of Science:

  • Dental Implantology
  • Prosthodontics
  • Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)

Background:

  • Single-visit dental implant restorations offer patient convenience and reduced treatment time.
  • Immediate loading protocols require precise planning and primary implant stability for success.

Observation:

  • A novel computerized planning method utilized CT scans for 3D virtual modeling.
  • The Ray-Set Implant Ready-to-Load transfer procedure facilitated accurate implant analog reproduction.
  • A tapered Exaca CV implant achieved primary stability, crucial for immediate loading.

Findings:

  • The prosthetic approach enabled pre-construction of implant-supported restorations.
  • Chairside insertion of the mesostructure and superstructure was performed in a single surgical session.
