Abstract:
The following four methylated flavones were obtained from the leaves of TEUCRIUM POLIUM L. (Labiatae). 4', 5-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone (cirsimaritin); 3', 5 dihydroxy-4',6,7-trimethoxyflavone (eupatorin); 5-hydroxy-4',7-dimethoxyflavone (apigenin-4', 7-dimethylether); 4', 5, 3'-trihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone (cirsiliol). One of these (4', 5-dihydroxy- 6,7-dimethoxyflavone) has been already reported in the same plant by Brieskorn and Biechele (1).
