Gallbladder inflammation is associated with increase in mucin expression and pigmented stone formation

Gallbladder inflammation is linked to increased MUC5AC mucin expression and pigmented gallstones. This study investigated mucin patterns in relation to gallbladder inflammation and stone characteristics.
