Summary

A 34-year-old woman experienced vision loss due to a rare form of retinal schisis, complicated by hemorrhage and myopia. This case highlights atypical schisis progression possibly driven by vitreous traction.

  • Diagnostic imaging, including fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography (OCT), was performed.
  • OCT revealed retinal splitting in the juxtafoveal and peripapillary regions, with no peripheral abnormalities.

Findings:

  • The patient's condition involved a juxtafoveal hemorrhage and symptomatic retinal splitting.
