Abstract:
The chloroform extract of the stems of Encelia ventorum yielded a new benzopyranbenzofuran dimer. The structure was assigned from (1)H-NMR and MS data as 4[2-(5-acetyl-6-hydroxybenzofuranyl)]-2-[6(7-methoxy-2, 2-dimethylbenzo-1 -pyranyl)]-pentan-2-ol.
