1Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Niigata College of Pharmacy, Niigata, Japan.
Abstract:
A new strongly bitter acyl secoiridoid glucoside, scabraside, has been isolated along with two known secoiridoid glucosides, trifloroside and gentiopicroside (= gentiopicrin), from the rhizomes and roots of GENTIANA SCABRA var. BUERGERI. The structure of the scabraside was established by chemical and spectral evidence.
