Abstract:
From leaves of Penstemon nemorosus Trautv. two new esteriridoids have been isolated. Iridoidic moieties are catapol and ajugol, both esterified with 8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-2,6-octadienoic acid. The structure was established by spectroscopic methods and comparison with known compounds.
