Elastic siloxane materials for endoprosthetic applications

Data are reported on properties and application in the clinical practice of elastic silicone materials for medical uses and items thereof prepared in the S.V. Lebedev All-Union Synthetic Rubber Research Institute. The effect of the implants on the neighboring tissues and on the living organism as a whole is discussed. The possibility of using the materials under consideration for endoprostheses is demonstrated.
