PPAR dual agonists: are they opening Pandora's Box?

Peroxisome proliferator activated receptors (PPARs) show promise for treating diabetic cardiovascular complications. While dual PPARalpha/gamma agonists have risks, novel PPARalpha/delta and PPAR gamma/delta agonists offer new therapeutic avenues.
