Abstract:
Full disclosure may make patients aware of errors they did know had occurred. While initial reaction of patients is likely to be gratitude for honesty, additional reflection could lead to negative feelings. Study indicates a 95% chance that the number of lawsuits would increase under a full disclosure policy.
