Summary

Magnetic resonance (MR)-guided microwave coagulation therapy has advanced for liver tumors. New MR-compatible instruments and software improve accuracy, safety, and ease of treatment for these challenging liver tumors.

Application of Laparoscopic Hepatectomy Combined with Intraoperative Microwave Ablation in Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastasis

Successfully treated 184 patients with liver tumors using the new MR-guided microwave coagulation techniques.
Achieved accurate and safe treatment delivery for tumors located near the diaphragm or adjacent to other organs.
Demonstrated improved treatment evaluation and accuracy through specialized software.

Conclusions:

The newly developed MR-guided microwave coagulation systems enhance the accuracy, safety, and ease of liver tumor treatment.
These advanced techniques represent a significant improvement in managing liver malignancies.
The system has proven safe, with no major complications reported in 184 treated patients.
