Does chronic hepatitis B increase Staphylococcus nasal carriage?

Chronic hepatitis B virus infection does not increase the risk of Staphylococcus aureus nasal carriage. This study found no significant difference in S. aureus nasal colonization between hepatitis B patients and healthy controls.

Purpose of the Study:
