Immunoelectron microscopy (IEM) offers diagnostic insights but is technically challenging and costly. Immunofluorescence antigenic mapping is the preferred method for diagnosing inherited epidermolysis bullosa (EB), with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) as a secondary option.
