Summary

Maintaining core body temperature during off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) surgery is challenging. The Inditherm Patient Warming System (IPWS) significantly improved patient temperatures compared to standard care.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of the Inditherm Patient Warming System (IPWS) in maintaining normothermia during OPCAB surgery.
  • To compare core body temperatures in patients undergoing OPCAB with and without the IPWS.

  • A prospective study comparing two groups of 10 patients undergoing OPCAB surgery.
  • One group received standard institutional care (control).
