  • These lesions were secondary to arteriovenous shunts resulting from hemodialysis.
  • Doppler ultrasound revealed a previously unknown arteriovenous fistula alongside the existing one.

  • Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed CD34+ staining in endothelial cells, characteristic of vascular proliferation.
  • Crucially, Human Herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) expression was absent, ruling out Kaposi sarcoma.
  • The findings support acroangiodermatitis as the diagnosis.
