Summary

Copper-bearing intrauterine devices (IUDs) have improved contraceptive efficacy in China over the last decade. Newer IUDs, including those for emergency contraception and menorrhagia treatment, show high effectiveness.

Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are a key component of reproductive health strategies.
