Barrett's esophagus is a medical condition where the esophageal mucosa is significantly damaged by stomach acid or other digestive fluids, often due to long-term exposure associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Background:

Peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumours (PNET) are rare neoplasms with histology similar to Ewing family tumours.
Diagnosis relies on histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and cytogenetic analysis.

Observation:

This case report presents a rare instance of PNET occurring in the mesocolon.
The clinical, radiological, and anatomopathological features of this mesocolonic PNET are examined.

Findings:

PNET diagnosis requires a combination of histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and cytogenetic studies.
Mesocolon is an exceptionally rare site for PNET, with limited prior reports.

Implications:

The treatment for PNET, often mirroring Ewing's sarcoma protocols, remains complex and uncodified.
This case underscores the diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties associated with PNET, particularly in rare locations, and emphasizes its poor prognosis.
