  • Young adults (N=8) and older adults (N=8) walked and stepped over one or two obstacles.
  • Motion analysis (Optotrak) and an instrumented pathway (GAITRite) were used.
  • Key parameters included toe clearance, step dimensions, velocity, and trunk motion.

  • Both age groups successfully navigated obstacles; a second obstacle did not alter strategies.
