Background:

  • Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a prevalent liver disease in developed nations.
  • Current NASH diagnosis relies heavily on invasive liver biopsy.
  • There is a need for accurate, non-invasive diagnostic methods for NASH.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the diagnostic utility of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) with Levovist for NASH.
  • To assess the accuracy of CEUS in differentiating NASH from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and healthy controls.
  • To determine if CEUS findings correlate with histological disease severity.
