  • However, a prior study indicated young individuals with TS performed better on a high-cognitive-control task.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate if the superior cognitive control observed in individuals with TS persists under unpredictable task conditions.
  • To examine the impact of predictable versus unpredictable task sequences on cognitive control in TS.
  • To compare task-switching costs between individuals with TS and age-matched controls.

  • Participants with TS and age-matched controls performed a saccade task (pro-saccade vs. anti-saccade) with predictable and unpredictable task sequences.
