Stat2-dependent regulation of MHC class II expression

Type I interferons (IFN-Is) surprisingly induce MHC II expression in macrophages lacking Stat2. This occurs because Stat2 deficiency impairs suppressor of cytokine signaling-1, prolonging Stat1 activation and driving MHC II transcription.
