Abstract:
New indication in limb spasticity: inconsistent efficacy. Type A botulin toxin's efficacy in local treatment of limb spasticity is not consistent, but its adverse effects appear to be transient and mild when administered by trained caregivers. Type A botulin is an acceptable option after failure of oral symptomatic treatments, give the paucity of alternative methods and the fact that treatment objectives can very from one patient to the next.
