  • To determine the effect of carrying additional weight on maximum walking distance in stable intermittent claudication patients.

  • Twenty stable intermittent claudication patients underwent treadmill testing with varying carried weights (0-10 kg) in a randomized sequence.
  • Maximum claudication distance and ankle-brachial pressure index were measured.
  • Patients were classified as mild or severe based on their baseline walking distance.
