Summary

Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) does not change the total varus-valgus motion arc. However, TKA balances previously unstable osteoarthritic knees, distributing motion more evenly immediately after implantation.

The knee joint is the most complicated joint in the body. It consists of three articulations– two tibiofemoral and one patellofemoral.
