Leprosy can manifest in the mouth, particularly in lepromatous leprosy. Early detection and treatment of oral lesions are crucial for preventing disease spread and managing leprosy reactions.

    • Oral infection can precipitate and sustain leprosy reactions and serve as an infection source.
    • Oral disease in leprosy warrants attention for early detection and treatment to prevent disease transmission.
