Overactive bladder (OAB) may be a hypersensitivity disorder, not just urgency. Patients experienced strong urge sensations, with urgency episodes occurring less frequently than expected, challenging current definitions.

  • To investigate the micturition behavior in female patients with overactive bladder (OAB).
  • To explore the relationship between bladder volume, sensation, and urgency episodes in OAB patients.
  • To re-evaluate the definition of OAB based on patient-reported experiences.

  • A Patient Trust Study was conducted with 21 female patients capable of distinguishing urgency from urge.
