Summary

This study found no pathogenic microorganisms on new elastomeric chains and no antimicrobial effect. Proper handling is crucial to prevent contamination, as these chains lack built-in antimicrobial properties.

  • Samples were incubated at 37°C and analyzed over 7 days.
  • Chains were also exposed to Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus casei, and Candida albicans, with subsequent analysis for inhibition zones.
