    • 11,413 women participated (57.5% rate); parenchymal dosages ranged from 0.7 (DR) to 1.5 (CR) mGy.
    • A 1.1% cancer detection rate was observed, with 21% ductal carcinoma in situ and 40% invasive cancers ≤10 mm.
    • The prevalent tumor detection rate and tumor size distribution met European guidelines, with an acceptable recall rate (7%).

    Conclusions:

    • Digital screening units achieved lower average glandular doses than analog units (0.7-1.5 mGy vs. 1.7 mGy).
    • Performance indicators, including tumor detection and size, met European standards.
    • The initial evaluation confirms digital mammography screening meets quality standards at reduced radiation levels.
