[Effects of compound coarse grain on the disordered lipid metabolism in rats]

Objective:
To explore the effects of different feeds, including rice, flour and the compound coarse grain on the disordered lipid metabolism in rats.
Methods:
40 male SD rats were divided into 4 groups, including the negative control group, the hyperlipemic control group, the rice-flour group and the compound coarse grain group. All 4 group rats were given different feeds for 10 weeks, body weights were weighted, serum TC, TG and HDL-C contents were determined and liver pathology were observed.
Results:
When compared with the negative control group, the disordered lipid metabolism model was successfully made in hyperlipemic control group. When compared with the hyperlipemic control group, the serum TG and TC contents significantly declined and HDL-C significantly increased in the compound coarse grain group. Moreover, the conditions of liver cell fatty degeneration in compound coarse grain group were slight.
Conclusion:
Compound coarse grain could improve the lipid metabolism in rats.
