Background:

Ectopia lentis, or lens dislocation, is typically bilateral, though asymmetry can occur in conditions like Marfan syndrome.
Unilateral ectopia lentis is often linked to external factors such as trauma or intraocular tumors.

Observation:

This study presents two siblings with isolated unilateral ectopia lentis.
Neither sibling exhibited signs of systemic abnormalities, genetic syndromes, or a history of trauma.

Findings:

The siblings presented with a rare form of ectopia lentis affecting only one eye.
The absence of trauma, tumors, or known genetic predispositions suggests a potentially novel etiology for isolated unilateral ectopia lentis.

Implications:

This case highlights the possibility of isolated unilateral ectopia lentis occurring without apparent cause.
Further research is warranted to explore potential genetic or developmental factors contributing to this specific presentation.
