  • The cellulitis was found to be a secondary manifestation of a primary squamous cell carcinoma on the back of the hand.
  • This represented a metachronous skeletal muscle metastasis.

  • The study describes a unique instance of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma metastasizing to skeletal muscle.
  • The metastatic lesion presented atypically as an area of cellulitis.
